We’re pleased to announce that America Online is now a cosponsor of 10Questions, and people can use their video platform to post questions to the site—though you still have to remember to tag videos “10Questions.”
We’ve had another burst of fresh videos posted to the site, with the total now at 167. Since Monday morning, another 4,000 votes have been cast, with about 1,500 new participants joining in, bringing us to a current total of 77,650 votes from 23,586 voters.
It’s interesting to note that at least two of the current top ten questions are about issues relating to fixing the political system (“Is our voting system broken?” from the activist group Why Tuesday? and “Two party system bad?”) and among the new video questions drawing attention one on “Fair Elections Campaign Reform” seems to be rising rapidly. (Full disclosure: I used to work for Public Campaign, the group that posted that video). A question about “Term limits” isn’t far behind.
Other questions that aren’t far from the current top ten raise issues like the “income-housing gap,” healthcare reform, solar energy, impeachment, and paying down the national debt. For anyone who worried that perhaps a wide open platform that invited community input on picking the best questions would invite lots of frivolous posturing, the results are heartening.
There are 8 days left until the end of Round One, so it’s a good time to join in if you haven’t already…and to pay attention as we get down to the wire.
