I am an adviser to:

• Civic Hall Brussels, a planned community hub for the multi-layered government and NGO actors clustered in that international city, focused on generating more collective intelligence and problem-solving.
• Unified, a digital organizing start-up that is building a mobile app and social network centered on the needs of community organizers and activists (I’m the lead investor in its crowdfund).
• New_ Public, a nonprofit research and design hub that is bringing together community experts, technologists, designers, futurists, and civic entrepreneurs to build digital public spaces for everyone.
• The Data & Society Institute, an independent non-profit research center that studies the social implications of data, automation, and AI, producing original research to ground informed public debate about emerging technology.
• CommitGlobal, an international civic tech nonprofit focused on building and maintaining humanitarian and climate infrastructure.

From 2010-2022, I was a member of the board of directors of Consumer Reports.

From 2013-2021, I was a member of the board of directors of the Public Laboratory for Open Technology and Science.
